Further new extra solar planets discovered:

Astronomers from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics announced today that they have discovered a Jupiter-class planet orbiting a star 5,000 light years away – the most distant ever found. The planet, called Ogle-TR-56b is important because it’s only the second planet ever discovered that passes directly in front of its star, dimming it slightly. More than 100 extra solar planets have now been discovered.

Three new planets were found:

The three new extra solar planets were found with the size of Jupiter you know the science of planet hunting is getting main stream when there’s very little fanfare for the discovery. The three new planets named: WASP-3, WASP-4, WASP-5, and were discovered by a European team of astronomers using observatories in South Africa and the Canary Islands.

They were named WASP because they were discovered by the “Super WASP” instrument. These are high speed cameras affixed to two telescopes: Super WASP-North at Roque de los Muchachos Observatory on the island of La Palma in the Canaries and Super WASP-South at the South African Astronomical Observatory, South Africa. Both instruments are equipped with a detailed CCD camera array capable of monitoring up to 400,000 stars every minute.

Scientist said: They’re watching to see if any of those stars vary in brightness. If a star does get brighter and dimmer over a regular period, the astronomers can then determine if a planet is passing in front – an event known as a transit (or eclipse). Just by measuring the dimming, astronomers can then determine the size of the planet, and even some of its chemical constituents.

The three new planets with roughly the mass of Jupiter complete their orbit in two days.

According to one of the discoverers, Dr Don Pollacco of Queen’s Astrophysics Research Centre, “these are among the shortest orbital periods yet discovered. Being so close to their star, the surface temperatures of the planets will be more than 2000 C, so it is unlikely that life as we know it could survive there. However, the finding of Jupiter-mass planets around other stars supports the idea that there are also many Earth-sized planets waiting to be discovered as the technology employed by astronomers improves.

Duplicate contents:

Duplicate content is a term used in the field of SEO means search engine optimization .The duplicate means we can copy content from other websites or blog and post it to our website. Content means the article we wrote from our mind and observation. But in duplicate content we copy content from others but it is wrong way. Malicious duplicate content refers to intentionally generated search spam in an effort to manipulate search results and gain more traffic. Users do not like to see the same content listed multiple times.

Spam (also known as search spam or search engine spam) involves a number of methods, such as repeating unrelated phrases, to manipulate the relevancy or prominence of resources index by a search engine. There are two types of spam:

• Content spam
• Link spam

Content spam:

Content spam techniques involve altering the logical view that a search engine has over the page’s contents. They all aim at variants of the vector space model for information retrieval on text collections.

Link spam:

Link spam (which he calls “nepotistic links”) as “… links between pages that are present for reasons other than merit.”Link spam takes advantage of link-based ranking algorithms, such as Google’s Page Rank algorithm, which gives a higher ranking to a website the more other highly ranked websites link to it. These techniques also aim at influencing other link-based ranking techniques such as the HITS algorithm.

DEALS BETWEEN MICROSOFT AND YAHOO!

The deals between Microsoft and Yahoo is an officially a partnership. For 10 years, Microsoft will power yahoo searches while yahoo will sell adds. Microsoft will want to retrain yahoo’s traffic and sales. Alternatively, Yahoo continues to flail. Now a day’s Microsoft’s Bing search engine will at least be able to exploit Yahoo. Yahoo gave Google crucial revenue and visibility early in its growth, and will give a similar boost to Bing.  If Yahoo is still around, Microsoft will simply walk away and leave yahoo to crawl into corner to die.

In any case, it’s fun to see Yahoo Carol Bartz. Carol Bartz is the president and CEO of yahoo and managed the world second largest visited web site.

Carol bartz said about Bing “I don’t know if Bing means a whole lot to Yahoo. I think people will go to Bing because they are curious. I think they will get some uplift, but people will keep their same habits.” She also said “In simple terms, Microsoft will now power Yahoo search while Yahoo will become the exclusive worldwide relationship sales force for both companies”

In a new video, she says this deal gives Microsoft and Yahoo “the scale necessary to compete against Google, which dominates the market with 70% of all search.” On Wednesday Microsoft and Yahoo announced a 10-year search deal that will see the two companies join forces to take on Google.

In my point of view yahoo and Microsoft can’t take down Google because Google dominates 70% market of all searches.

What is Technical or Vocational Education?

Technical or vocational education is the teaching of a trade or handicraft .it generally means the practical training in arts and science. This education is quite different from liberal education certain ally broaden our outlook and refines our desire and sensibilities. But in the present age of science and technology, liberal education is not very profitable. It produces mostly clerks and assistants in offices. At present the problem of un-employment is only due to this type of education. Each year a great number of graduates come out from the universities and they can hardly afford to make both ends meet with liberal education.

We are now living in the age of science and machine and technical education is the cry of the day. Technical education is important is different fields such as engine, agriculture, industry, commerce, etc.

Technical training cannot be obtained from books or lectures only. It requires practical training and the students have to handle tools in a work shop. In this way they realize the dignity of labors and manual work.

On mobile devices access to Wikiepdia from mobile phones was possible as early as 2004, through the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), through the Wapedia service.
